The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), on Friday reiterated the need for its officers and men to show commitment in driving the mandate of the commission.Boboye Oyeyemi, FRSC Corps Marshal, stated this while speaking with newsmen in Abuja.He said promotion of personnel was a vital aspect of raising the morale of the men and officers.
"It is important for those recently promoted to see the gesture as deliberate step to compensate and push them to increase their commitment to duties," he said.
The media, reports that the commission released the list of 17 newly promoted officers on Thursday.
The board of FRSC promoted five Corps Commanders to the rank of Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) and 12 officers to the rank of Corps Commanders.
Oyeyemi said: "promotion is also part of welfare schemes of this administration for staff motivation."
"Beneficiaries are expected to contribute their quota in order to ensure that the commission continues to excel," he said.
Kunle Motajo, newly promoted Assistant Corps Marshal said, "the promotion means more work for me."
"The commission wants every one of us to continue to do our best in ensuring that its objectives are achieved," he said.
Motajo urged his colleagues to continue to do their best, adding that it was important to build individual capacity ahead of expectation for higher duties.
